Well my AC doesn't work and I only drive with the windows down in the summer anyway .. So I would like to add OBA. What should I all remove from the AC system and cap off or plug? Just some advice would be great. Thanks guys!

You can remove literally everything but the pump. I'd recommend cutting the lines (emptied first) and using barbed fittings. The thread pitches are a pain to match to anything. After that there is nothing to plug or cap. I'd personally recommend doing the dry conversion instead of oil. JP magazine did a write up on it a few years ago. Much simpler and more reliable. I find it easier to add a pump of grease every few months than a few drops of oil every few run hours.

I'm actually doing this soon too. Get the freon removed safely and just take out everything but the compressor. You could leave it but you free up some nice space in the bay by removing everything.

Personally I have been thinking long time on converting my AC to OBA, I have most of the things gathered for an oiled system, but with the previous reply showing the dry setup, I think I will go that way, I think it is a best approach and will last longer (I think), here is the link to the article from JP Magazine

good pictures and explanation on every picture, will do this in the near future and report back the results!

Here's how I set mine up. Next time I'm out at the property working on I'll get you some better pics. In the last picture you can kind of see the pressure gauge.
