Hey guys I just lifted my jeep and took it out wheelin for the first time last night. On the way home whenever I went over 55, I get crazy death wobble. Any ideas guys? I know that my ball joints need replacing, but all of the suspension components were torqued to spec.

Any loose out of spec steering/suspension part can allow DW to happen. DW is natural for this type of steering/suspension system and controlled by in spec parts.

I suspect track bar. But dw is attributed to loose/worn/broken parts. Alignment, out of balance tires, steering box, ball joints, track bar, control arms. Those are some of The things that can cause it. Pretty much all of us on here have dealt with it a time or two. Never let anyone tell you that its caused by your steering stabilizer though. That is never a cause and will only put a bandaid on your steering and cause the issue to get worse

All worn or questionable parts should have been replaced BEFORE any lift was done. Most jeeps of this age need anywhere from $500-1500 in frontend work to get them up to snuff before you start.

Then if you plan on a larger tire you upgrade the tie rod setup to at least a V-8 ZJ setup.
