Death wobble with just a 2 inch lift?
Yes I have death wobble. 2" lift. acos coil spacers and lift shackles and new shocks. Had the trac bar and steering stabilizer replaced. What else could it be?
Big question, could it be that I need aftermarket control arms???

Don't be fooled. Even a stock XJ can have death wobble. You have a worn part somewhere, or old/unbalanced tires, or your alignment is out of whack. Read this over a few times so you can really understand what you're dealing with:

And no, you shouldn't need aftermarket control arms at 2". Although your control arms may be the cause of your wobble. Get down there and look at what kind of shape your bushings are in

It's a never ending search man... if you got a buddy who's a mechanic have them check it out, like the last guy said though parts get old and broken down... I have a 96 XJ with a 6in lift and I was getting death wobble at 20+ when I would hit a bump. My last death wobble snapped my front right control arm bracket. My buddy who's a mechanic took a peek at my front end and realized the tire rod end that connects to the pitman arm was shot. Quick fix $46 at o'reilys and 1 hour to reweld the brackets and no more death wobble... Have someone check it out!
*have a mechanic take a peek at it they should be able to tell you what's wrong right away!
