Default Daystar transmission mount does not line up.

What's going on guys! I purchased a polyurethane Daystar automatic transmission mount for my 2000 XJ, and does not line up to the plate. Anyone ever ran into this exact problem?

I just replaced mine with a stock one and it didn't line up neatly. I had to fiddle with the height to get it to line up.

How far off is it? Mine was about 1/4 inch.

Quick question, how hard is the transmission mount to replace? I have a stock one but haven't had a chance to do it. Can't find any write ups about it on here either

Easy,

Place a Jack under the transfer-case to support the weight (you may need to use some scrap 2X4s to get the necessary height).

Remove the 4 bolts holding the transmission cross-member to the frame rails (2 on each side), remove the 4 nuts holding the transmission mount mount to the cross-member (it doesn't matter what order you remove these bolts/nuts in), drop the cross-member.

Remove the 2 bolts holding the transmission mount to the transmission.

Remove the old mount, install the new one, and reverse the process to put everything back together.

The trans mounts are different on the pre-99 XJ's as I found out on my 2000, sometimes the companies just give you a generic one thinking they were the same for all the years. Almost an inch different between them. This is assuming we are talking about the trans mount to the crossmember.
