Pics make it seem more complicated than it really is. You also don't really need to disconnect the battery.

Headlight switch is already denying power to the cluster and leaving the battery and cluster connected allows you to check each bulb as you put them in.

Also makes a huge difference to do the HVAC, shifters, glovebox, courtesy lights, dome, ect. All the interior lights are the same bulbs as the dash except the dome and HVAC controls. HVAC are 74s. The info center ones are 74s as well, but imo they're not worth replacing. With the way the panel is backlit it hotspots really bad.

It was a good write up and pictures make it easier for someone who's never done something like this before. I did mine in red a year ago and I love it. I did end up using white LEDs for the blinkers and high beams. Originally I had red in there but during the day I couldn't actually see the blinkers flashing which I rely on since my Jeep is loud enough that I can't hear the relay clicking over. Found that out after some guy yelled at me to either turn or turn my blinker off.

Thank you I had never done a write up before so I wasn't sure how much to put into it. But I didn't think a step by step break down couldn't be too confusing.

Ya I need to replace the hi beam indicator. Just gotta figure out which is which.... I think it's the same led that the blinkers use?
I have a bunch of projects coming up that I'm going to do. 1st is the motor mounts followed by my steering stabilizer when it gets delivered. I've been really wanting to do a fuel injector upgrade. Think I will go the the JY and pull some from a Ford F150 or the dodge neon. I think it's the ford injectors which allow 200cc @ 43.5 psi through the fuel rail... but no clip nut. I know the neon injector puts out 238cc @ 43.5psi. Not sure what the extra 38cc would do to make a difference? Anyone do this upgrade? I've read several threads on this upgrade. Just looking for more input

Some progress on mine, installed the blue LEDs in the HVAC panel. The LED mount was a little too large so I had to file and sand down around the edges a bit. Also installed LEDs in the shifter and transfer case indicators. I found those were too large as well, but way too big for a little filing. For now I've taped them into position and have ordered some #194 LEDs that are smaller and will hopefully fit properly. Looks good, but too light out now to take a photo.

I found at least on my '99 the switch LEDs are actually T3 (8mm), so need to order some of them.

With regards to disconnecting the battery, it may not be absolutely necessary but I would with the air bag.

To me, a complete newbie, this writeup was just perfect. The more pictures the better! Thanks for posting as I've been wanting to do this project for a long time but didn't know where to start. Keep doing what you're doing: you're helping many here!
