Default 88 5.0 HO 97 XJ build

Like it says I'm starting a build I have a 97 XJ 4.5" lift 33's warn winch bumper with tiger shark 9500lb winch Chrysler 8.25 rear d30 front. The 4.0 in it now is smoking bad and knocking so it's going to be getting yanked out soon. I have a 5.0 out of a 88 mustang GT it's going to be carbureted because it's simple and I no longer have the 5.0 intake manifold I'm going to be adapting it to the AX15 with the adapter plate and 85-87 f150 bell housing so I can keep the hydraulic slave cylinder instead of going to a cable. Using that bell housing and adapter the tranny will mount in the stock tranny crossmember the only thing I can't find is motor mounts. I'm going to be using the stock mustang shorties and yes they are shorties not manifolds. I'll be leaving the motor stock for now but will be swapping heads and can later on. I can't find anybody that makes the mounts and I need some ideas on how to build them. I plan to keep all the electrical components like all the lights and stuff you need to drive it on the road in not sure how to do it better t that's where electrician friends come in place. Any pictures or help on motor mounts would be greatly appreciated. I couldn't find much online except for on jeepforum that was never finished

If you can fab, it will be no sweat. I don't think anybody makes a kit for that. There was a kit for mine, but couldn't afford it. Built my own.

Most v8 swaps are gm v8s because you can get swap parts for it,Your kinda on your own with a ford v8 but i would like to see it finished if you get to do it.

Thanks for the link if the width is good I'll be using those mounts and save the time and headache of fabbing some up. I'm not a great fabricator but I can make it work and have what I would need to make mounts.

Those novak motor mounts won't work on a xj,Those are for the older jeeps that have a frame like a yj back or the fsj type stuff.

Ya Im still gonna measure the frame rails and see if there even close to what it requires for those mounts. But I'm more than likely gonna have to build some. Maybe I'll start making them and selling them because I feel like the 5.0 is a perfect motor for an XJ it's small light and can make good power easily.

Fenders look like garbage I know. I had bushwhacker flared but they broke off in the woods caked with snow mud and ice I'll fix those when the time comes. My plan is to just get the motor in running and driving and then I'll figure the electrical stuff out. I won't need it to DD since I only live a mile from work and I'm not starting this project till it warms up a bit. As of right now I need the trans adapter bell housing intake manifold and carburetor to get it running and driving I'm picking up a truck oil pan tomorrow and I've been looking into the best way to make the motor mounts.

Honestly i would skip a carb and use a basic efi system on it.

This build has some interest from me! There has got to be some 5.0 mounts somewhere. Otherwise, Fabbing is your best bet. I cant wait to to see the 5.0 stuffed in there.

If I had more time and money I would probably go EFI but I know carburetor's and it's super simple maybe when I build the motor I'll switch to efi. But for now I just want to get it in running and driving

I think I'm going to keep the XJ mount and bushing and just build something out of 3/16 or 1/4 that works with the XJ mounts. Get it all tacked in and then pull them out burn em in inside and out.
