Hey Guys Im Bill and Im new to this forum..Hope Im on the right thread! Anyway, I have a 2007 Grand Cherokee which recently started giving me some trouble..I was driving it and it started to buck Im guessing from misfiring...I shut it down, Restarted it and it ran again for a few minutes then stalled...I started it again and it ran fine for a while..

Now I'm getting a blinking engine light and hesitation from time to time..I pulled the codes randam misfire and cranksahft position sensor...To try and see if it was the coils I pulled each coil one at a time while the truck was running to see if it made a difference in idle..Each and every coil I pulled made the trucks idle slower and rough..So I am assuning the coils are good..I went out and got a new crankshaft sensor and installed it today..But before I reconnect the battery, Is there any length of time I should leave it disconnected? Also is it ok to use advance auto parts? I bought the sensor at advance auto.. I know some of these newer cars a partial to particular parts!
