Default Dana 60 front truss install question

Does the truss sit centered on the diff housing or knuckles on a front axle... keep in mind my upper link mounts are gonna be on top of the truss...

I would think for link mount purposes that it should be centered with the knuckles... but it looks designed to hug the housing lol...

what do you mean by centered? like if it should be up and down with the knuckle angle or diff angle? it doesnt matter, but it would probably be a lot harder to make if it wasnt 'centered' over the diff. link mounts should be independent of your truss... unless youre installing some TNT or artec truss with everything all done already.

you cant mount upper link mounts with a truss and not mount them on the truss... thats how it goes lol... even on Artecs site their upper link mounts are setup to mount on top of the truss and still have the 8in from the center of the axle...

what are you saying? you dont have to squarely sit your link mount on top of the truss...

He is asking if the truss needs to be parallel to the knuckles or the housing while installing. Look in the picture how the knuckles look turned a few degrees compared to the housing.

I would guess housing.

Pirate folks said it doesn't really matter as long as the top links won't get into the truss if it's facing forward some... I think I'm going to wait until I get the ram mount ordered so i can line everything up... need to make sure my steering isn't gonna be way off either... I'll be running air shocks so i have a lot of room tow play... probly split the two though...
