Peeled my rear diff cover and popped the bolt heads through it on a rock because of my skinny pedal. You can shave almost an inch but I'd rather have the strength than clearance.

I have a flat bottom 60, and a ruff stuff cover. If I peel a diff cover I have bigger problems.

I broke a rear 60 on 35's. I shoulda just went straight to rockwells.

a 60 and 35's is fine, it hit, and sometimes I came to a stop on it when going super slow, but backing up a foot and giving it some throttle was an easy remedy in every instance. I wouldn't run a stock diff cover on a rig wheeled in rocks big enough to justify a dana 60 either though.
