ohh yea and Napa cannot get the gasket for this thing so is just RTV going to work?

better off with rtv any way

you can see i missed one on the lower right. i even rtv'd the fill cap cause that's where it was leaking. but if your not going to replace your cover with a better one i don't think id recommend rtv'ing the fill plug.

yea just changed my gear oil in my 8.25 and just used rtv on the cover and the fill plug. that stupid thing LOVES leaking.
