I just installed a Spartan in a Dana 30. Axle has a disconnect and 4.11 gears. The carrier and ring gear had to be removed for this. Do I need to put in the retaining clip back onto pass. side axle piece in carrier? If yes, how?

 

Yes you need it and you'll need to contact Spartan on how. It may not work with the disco axle because of that.
