Yea it's going to be strictly offroad/hunting buggy have to replace rear end first previous owner welded rear spider gears and I don't trust them heard too many horror stories from drag racers about welding ur gears crystallization of tempered steal is not a good thing under high stress situations lol

Yes sir I will be running lockers. Has something happened to the quality of the Detroit locker or what haven't really heard anyone recommending those. 12 years ago when I was building my 83 bronco( shoulda never sold! ) those seamed to be the only way to go

Once again just my opinion 35's would be the biggest I would go on a 30/8.25 locked but it would HAVE to be trussed, gusseted, and some chromolly shafts, but in the end I think it would just be better to go with some dana 60's

One word... Expensive. Then again my Eaton is regular 1100 at 4wheelparts, some places have it for about 900, I paid $400

I'm in southern cali and most guys are asking $800 for stock d60. I'm almost felt like taking apart my truck! Ram 2500 4x4, matching front and rear d60's... So tempting

See that's what I don't want to run into is major fab work don't really have the resources for all that ie: TIME is a huge constraint for me I average about 90hrs a week out here in the oilfield. So maybe I'll be sticking with 33s to stay safe and cheap lol

I've seen built d60 from $2500-$3500. Ready to bolt up, but I think they were all set up for 4 link on TJ's, nothing for Cherokee

I was applying for a job at a local JY and asked the guy what they chargerd for a rear 60 he said around $800 and up, I laughed a little needless to say I don't think he liked that.
