Basically should I stay with these and just beef them up or are they weak axles? Wanna run 4.56 gears and start out with 33s but work my way up to 37s eventually.
Part #s would be greatly appreciated

Running 4:10's for my 35's, most dont, but I still do a lot of street driving so I want my rpm's low. Other gears run it to about 3000rpm's. Hit the freeway at 75 and I'm under 2400rpm

Haha, so am I. I've been working on my XJ for about a year. The d44 is bigger. I got a deal for mine and I dont really compete. Most XJ guys build the 8.25 cuz it's cheaper. I don't have part#. Sorry. I tried to be patient and it paid off. My rear axle was $450 and direct bolt in. my locker for the front was a display at convention so I got it for less than half, and bought decent axles.

I wanted to run 4:10, and thats what was in the axle so I saved the $300 gears would of cost. From what I was told by the pros, get a locker, new axle and you'll have good fun.

I personally would NEVER do 37's on a 30/8.25 combo. But like everyone else will tell you it really depends on how you drive and what you want to do with it.

When I got the rear d44 w/4:10, I pulled the front shaft, gears not the same. No money, then I found used 4:10 for the front d30. My buddies said what till I get a locker to install. This took almost a year. Pulling the front dif out this week and installing the new axles, gears, bearings, and locker Saturday. It all started a year ago this month with a 4.5" lift. It exposed a bad rear d35 which led to the find of the d44, and so forth...

Your quote is so true! PROUD or the end of a marriage when's she finds out where the college fund went. 37s would be the extreme I like the way it's looking with the 33s and I got a great deal on some sstrxus here locally so untill I burn those up I will be sticking with the 33s if I upgrade 35s would probably be all the lil woman would let me spring for kinda hard to explain why the tires cost more than the jeep lol

Yup, what " proudxj" says is true. 33" is good for 8.25, & if you do more offroad than street higher gears and bigger diff are better. I drive street every day, and our group rides once a month, so that was my choice.
