Just remembered that I forgot to post the followup to this.

Couple weekends ago I finished putting everything back together, new seals, wire brushed the axles down good and painted them to help prevent rust and lightly smoothed the machined portion near the splines to help ensure a good seal on my new seals.

went together like clockwork and have had no problems with any seepage since putting it all back together so I am going to consider this to be a done project.

Lockers work great too!! Spartan FTW!

Right on!!! I love it when I project ends well! You didn't put the end tube seals in? Not that you need to, just curious.

Nope, didn't use them. When I upgrade my front axles, I might use them then, but for now, since the Timken new inner seals fixed my issues, I am good to go.

Do you have the Timken part number for the inner seals? Rockauto and Napa are both coming up with several part numbers which are all different.
