Ok, I have done some searching on this, but either me or the search don't like each other, cause I can't find stuff easily. I have seen that the max tire for a dana 30 seems to be 35's, but is that with or without a locker?

You can run a locker on it. You would be doing yourself a favor by building up that axle though. Be easy on gas.

Truss it and upgrade your shafts.

My opinion. Yes. Motive / 5 ten makes great stuff. If you do a lunch box locker. It might drive a touch diff at first. But you'll get a hang of it, I personally favor manual locking hubs. But it's not all that cheap to build out the D30 with all that stuff. You can easily be in the $3k price range. But I think it's worth it.
For a truss check out T&T Customs.

Alloy USA FTW!!

And I think there's a guy here that sells 'em.

Now what was his name? I Seriously can't recall.

Frank. Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought Alloy USA was having some issues. I had read some "stuff" online. Ppl complaining about warranties not being honored or somethin.

I've been running a set in my rear axle for a few years, no problems here.

A few years ago there was an issue when there was a change of ownership, but I'm not aware of any recent problems.

Alloy USA is awesome I ran their shafts in my D35 and couldnt break them. I bent them both but they did not break, I ran them bent for a yr. Highly recommend.

I run stock gears, stock shaft, 35x12.5 tires, and a lockright on my Dana 30 with no truss or extra support. I wheel some pretty crazy trails and the only thing I have broken is a lower CA mount. Just don't go nuts with the skinny pedal and you will be fine.

I think that's what it was, Frank. There was a bunch of nonsense talk online. I picked up a second hand Alloy USA for my 8.25. It was new in a box. Never installed for $150. Gotta love ppl going thru a divorce.
