a stock XJ with 235/75's will take you most anywhere you want to go. An inexperienced driver in a fully built rig will get themselves into situations that they do not know how to get out of because "they think they can"

I agree with building your own, if you cannot tell already...
Building it is half the fun if you can and have time.
I wheeled mine for 3 years in stock form.. I learn to finess my way true some pretty tough stuff. Now, coils all around, super flexible 6.5 inches even with no lockers, I can easily follow and pass the fully locked up rigs..
