how do you get at the c clip to remove it when you are trying to remove an axle shaft from a Jeep with a lunchbox locker already installed?

Remove the crossshaft,"knock" the axles in,rotate the locker so the access area is facing down & they may fall out.If not,try a strong magnet/coathanger?

Remove the locker.
Which locker.? With the Spartan all I have to do is pin the springs and take the cross pin out. Then move the axle in a bit and jiggle the locker cams and the c clip will fall out.

used some brake clean, let it dry an then turned the dif facing down, knocked the axles back and forth a few times and let gravity do it's job

took about 10 mins (not counting the wasted hour)
