CV shaft and split yolk eliminator.. Necessary? Recommended?

If you use a SYE it will remove the ability for your driveline to extend and shorten as needed by the flex in your suspension. The CV drive shaft will put that back into your driveline, so it is as much of a requirement for that as it is to correct drive shaft length.

I have 6 inches of lift, and I just spaced down my crossmember 3/4 of an inch. Cost maybe 3 bucks for longer bolts, I made my own spacers. You could shim your rear axle to point the pinion toward the t-case, it certainly won't hurt. Eventually I will get the SYE, cuz it's just better all the way around. With the amount of lift you're getting you can probably save some money for now.
