Any recommendations? Apparently the ZJ one isn't long enough or there's a different kind.

Quote: Idk if your blind or not. But that slip joint is totally maxed out. Therefore he would need a longer drive shaft.
can you read ? my comment said nothing about the length of the ds, only that the angle looked right & he should have it balanced & make sure worn out joints are'nt in it. however you are correct the ds is too short also. so whats needed is a retube rebuild & balance then you got something decent.

What is the measurement from center of u-joint to center of ujoint (pinion to SYE joint nearest the t-case)?

If you have a good, local driveline shop, there's no reason they cannot lengthen any of those d-shafts and balance them.

That might be a good way to go.. They can pretty much turn my current shaft into a functional one that will solve my issue? I'm also sure the price of that may be about the same as a new shaft. Although probably cheaper than a custom one lol.

I ended up getting a custom shaft a few months ago. It's like 33'' or so and it's been working perfectly. I had leaf shims laying around that I never got around to putting on. So I added the shims today while I installed new leaf springs. I'm getting a rubbing noise here and there when I turn and go fast. Could it be because of the shims? It appears my driveshaft is more collapsed now.

Looks to me like your driveshaft is too collapsed now. It should be somewhere in between

What could I do to extend it more? I don't really want to remove the shims, since I feel like they're going to help with the angle, but if they have to come out.. I put in brand new leaf springs today as well. That wouldn't affect this at all, would it?

I think my issue may be somewhere else.. When I was installing the new leafs, I had the axle dropped, I tightened both the front and rear leaf bolts, jacked the axle up (from the diff), slipped the u bolts through and tightened those while it was under tension. I had an issue getting the leaf shim bolts seated, which they are.

Took this pic, noticed my rear is pushed. So maybe jack it back up, loosen the u bolts, then retighten them while the axle is dropped?
