I installed a hack n tap when I did my 6.5'' lift and used a front XJ shaft with it. However my angle isn't the best and even with the tcase drop, its still steep. Its also out of balance too lol. I was considering a Zj shaft but was told that it might not be long enough. I suppose a custom shaft may be my only route. I hear Tom Woods is good. How much roughly might I be spending on one? I also have 4* shims that I have yet to install.

Cheers

Why don't you install the shims before you go nuts on the new shaft?? They may improve your condition enough?

Shims will allow you to properly point your pinion directly at the t-case output.

Exactly, install those first and see where you are, then decide if you need the custom shaft.

I'll have pics for you guys this afternoon. Sorry for posting unprepared haha. If the shims fix my issue, should I either get a new front XJ shaft or get it balanced? The weights broke off so its not balanced at all.

Cheers

Idk if your blind or not. But that slip joint is totally maxed out. Therefore he would need a longer drive shaft.
