I'm in the market for a 4.5" lift kit for my 2000 Cherokee and came across this Currie kit:

The jeeps a daily driver so I'd like to have something that won't beat me to death in addition to having a quality lift for resale value later. Pricewise, it seems very comparable to an RE lift, except the Currie has adjustable control arms which I feel like I'd end up upgrading on the RE kit anyway. I can't find much in the way of opinions on the Currie lift (yes, I searched). So does anyone have anything to throw in about the Currie?

Currie is bad ***. I'd say Currie is top 3 and in most categories #1 as far as quality goes.
Pair that lift up with some decent shocks and you'll be in good shape.
Anything taller than 4.5 I would go to long arms though..

That's what I've heard. But why does it seem like there are no XJs out there with Currie lifts? It seems like a reasonable price for what it is...

Currie is nice stuff, If I go to 4.5" with my XJ I will be going with Currie's Progressive Rate Springs up front and some Alcan or Deaver Rear

Currie makes good stuff. The TJ my boss has was built entirely by Currie, its been all over Moab and the Rubicon many times, and is still going strong. The only part he has issues with is wheel bearings on the HP 9" front axle, everything else is bulletproof.
So I've been impressed with Currie, I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from them. Price is the only thing keeping me from buying Currie stuff, if you can afford it go for it.

Currie really shines with there axles and their Johnny joints.
I plan on using johnny joints all around on my TJ build

So everyone loves Currie stuff, good to know. Pricewise, does that seem about right? I shy away from some of the cheaper lifts because it seems like they cut corners a little more. 1300 doesn't seem too bad when lifts like RE are roughly the same price.

X2, didn't know either. I've heard nothing but good stuff about other products. Just shows they don't spend a bunch on advertising. I'm running a Tomken Machine lift (love it) & no one around me has really heard of them either.Originally Posted by HudsonN
