Default 98 limited 242 swap to a 231

I destroyed the inside of my 242. I was wondering how easy it is to swap to a 231. I know there are way more options as far as SYE for the 231 so I want to swap. I have the aw4 tranny. Would I need new drive shafts or yokes or anything like that? Speedo sensor? Thanks for the help.

If you SYE it right away you would grab a front drive shaft for the rear anyway, the front would be fine.

It is still stock height for another month or so. So Icant do the SYE till then. If I just grab the front and rear shafts from the donor vehicle would I be ok?

No, you use the front shaft in the rear AFTER you do the SYE.

Yeah, you should be ok as long as both vehicles have the same rear end and same trans.

Would I need any linkages or any o that? Could I use my 242 shifter or not?

I'd try and use all the parts from the donor vehicle.

The 242 has an extra spot, so I'm not sure that it'd work. Linkage may just need to be adjusted.
