Default curious about shock valving, need advice

looking to purchase some new shocks, gonna get the bilstein 5165, this one here
http://www.seriousoffroadproducts.co...ducts_id=89985

but they sell them with 2 different valving, 170/60, and 255/70, so i was wondering whats the difference?working on a budget im starting by replacing the fronts, then in a few weeks the back..need some advice and input

one is stiffer than the other, as in one will provide more dampening resistance then the other. the higher the number the more resistance. first number is rebound, second is compression. the stiffer shocks should ride better for you

the 170/60s are for dual shock applications so just having one will be way too soft. get the 255/70s
