Was thinking that maybe the starter is not strong enough but am open to suggestions. The motor is a crate motor from 505 performance bored out to a 4.7 and upgraded valves, cam, and stroked I checked all the grounds and triple checked all the fuses and even tried 2 different batteries I am getting good spark and fuel pressure so the only thing left is a compression problem or the starter in my mind but this is only my second motor swap and my first crate motor. The link won't let me post a video for y'all but I'll try to get it on here somehow

Check all your connectors, make sure they are clicked in all the way. I swapped injectors once and had a no start after, turned out the flat 3 wire connector of the TPS was not in all the way, just something to check

Yea but it's and 01 cherokee my bad I forgot to post the year on there. I don't have a distributor on this jeep just the cool pack. Was kind f funny the first start attempt we shot a nice flame out the header. Speaking of, do you think back pressure could be a problem? It's an open exhaust ATM nothing is hooked up after the header

2001 exceeds my knowledge. Camshaft could be out of alignment? Post the video to YouTube and cut, copy and paste the link in this thread. Don't get excited and start pulling covers it could be something simple. All the oldskool jeepers that know what they're doing and have been around the block will be back on here in the morning. Anybody up now should chime in on this.

Pull the first plug. Put your finger in the hole. Turn the crankshaft with a wrench around until you feel pressure push out of the plug hole. Stop. See if the timing degree mark is near zero and the piston is near the top. This will tell you if your camshaft is correct.
