the cowl noise is noticeable but not annoying at all. just like anything you get use to it.

I'v had mine for almost a year now and I barely notice it. There is a low pitch sound for about a minute or two after start up then goes away. The only other time I know it there is when you mash the gas or the transmission downshifts. I did insulate with Dynamat as well for you ladies out there. lol. hell if it really bugs you get bigger tires

i'm with you, joe. i put 20k+ miles a year on my xj. i don't want to cut anything on it and hate the cowl noise. it's nice and quiet now.
