Default The Cowl Intake Is Back!

I sent out an email to THOR about 6 months ago, asking where the heck the Cowl intakes for the XJ went. (They have completely disappeared. Michael over there just emailed me today announcing they are bringing the cowl back into production. He asked for me to share his page so I am sure he wouldn't mind me sharing his email to me either.

"
Last year we shut operations down and have decided to start selling our intake kits again. We have a few new in box available until we are back in full production. along with a couple of XJ kits that the powder coat is flaking for reduced price $170 email me for shipping and availability.

you can access our cart through the website www.trailheadoffroad.com or our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/THOR4x4/

we also have a handful or rear corner guards for 84-91XJ remaining $245pr

I apologize for the long hiatus and looking forward to being back up and running. Please like and share our page.

Thanks

Mike"

Super stoked, I want to see these guys succeed as a business, so I feel compelled to share their reintroduction.

I was just looking at the picture of it. If you remove the pressure bottle for the coolant and go to a open system then it could probably fit.

You could, but you would need to fabricate a flange adapter the 3 torx flat mounting flange that Renix throttle bodies use to a 3" hose fitting that the newer throttle bodies use.

I suppose I could remove the first 90* elbow turn the rubber hose in kinda the same direction and hose clamp it on.

That stock rubber hose can't mount in a different direction because the opening isn't circular, there is a cutout for the idle air control valve airflow which will be covered if you try and reorient it another direction.

That's right I didn't think about that.
