I have a 99 disc brake rear axle and wondering if I can use the brake line that comes with the 8.8? I so what else am I going to need to make it all complete? Also when I got the axle there was just a hole in the axle housing where the vent goes. Does a hose just stick in it or is there something that goes in it? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

I went to napa and got hard lines that fit onto the soft lines at the calipers.
just get a close measurement and go to napa and take a look at what they have. you can bend the lines with your hands just be careful not to kink them.
Brake lines are bout $8 each

for the vent just tap it if it isnt tapped already with 1/8 pipe thread and just thread a brass nipple on there. you can get those at any hardware store for about $5

 

So I won't be able to use the hard brake lines that came on the axle?

 

yeah im sure you can. i used to have an 8.8 but never bothered with the e brake cable
