Got tired of my dome lights killing my battery since they randomly turn on and off on their own. So I took a single throw switch I had laying around and a fuse holder with a bunch of 14ga wire I have and made it to where this wouldnt happen again. I also added an extra dome light while I was at it. All I did was put a 15amp fuse in on the top pole of my switch and wire it up to the pink power wire going to the dome light. Pretty much just cut the wire to interrupt the circuit. Took another 14ga wire from the bottom pole on the switch and ran it to the pink wire going to the stock 89' dome light and took the yellow wire from the dome light from a 92' and wired it up to the wire coming from the bottom pole of the switch. I just routed the wire down the passenger side trim where the front seat belt is then thru the rocker trim and kick panel then inside the bottom of the dash into the center console. Drilled a small hole for the switch to on the shifter plate. Then just turn the headlight switch to send constant power to the switch and you will have on demand dome lights that wont kill the battery or If you run your rig doorless you dont have to take out the door pin switches.
Hope this helps any one whos had the same issues with their dome lights. Let me know if there is anything I over looked or should change. Thanks.
