So I needed a new filter and decided to use the stock box but drop a cone into it. It was pretty straight forward, all I had to do was pull the tubing in the box out and put my tubing through it. The hole in the back wasn't necessary, but I want to do the cowl intake at some point so I figured I'd cut the hole while I was in there.

Now that's what I call jerry-riggin! Good job though, I'm sure it will do the trick just fine! No sense in wasting hundreds on a 'cold air intake' anyways.
BTW, that's a funny shaped big toe there =P

Lol thanks, it's always more fun to build your own anyways. It was close to $45 in parts so I'd say it was worth it.
