Default Coil spacers and shackles (noob question)

K so if I put coil spacers and shackles on my 3" rough country lift, do I need to worry about the shocks? Will they be over extended or will I be ok? I just want to b able to fit 33s underneath but don't have the money for another lift kit...yet

A few questions that will help us with answering.
Did the 3" kit come with shocks or are you using the factory ones?
How much big are the spacers and shackles? (1", 2", 3", etc)

If u have stock shocks now then u will need aftermarket shocks to go any further... If u have stock lower control arms now then u will need buy some... If u have stock brake lines right now you will need to go longer... Doesnt matter what size lift you want... After three inches everything needs longer...

If its only 2" u should be fine to just throw it in. Wont need to do any mods to make it work until u go 3" and up.

He already has a 3". He's adding to that. Like previous poster said, " after 3" everything needs to be longer".

you dont need a drop pitman arm til after like 6.5 - 7'' of lift, deffinitly dont need it at 5''

going from 3'' of lift (thats the cool height because you dont have to change much of anything to achieve it) your dif has probabaly been offcentered this entire time if you have a stock track bar.

so to go over 3'' of lift, you'll need longer brake lines, longer shocks, (most companys sell shocks 4.5 - 6.5'') i know rough country does this (thier shocks can be had for like 125 shipped)

here lets just do a check list for future people who wont bother searchign this anyways LOL

- longer brake lines
- longer shocks
- adjustable or longer fixed length control arms
- adjustable track bar, because relocation is junk.
- sye, because transfercase drop is a band aid
- longer sway bar links if you are bothering with a front swaybar

check the what junkyard parts will fit thread. you can get things like dakota brake lines and such and get the parts you need for real cheap. Just an option

Dakota lines from autozone... Not a junkyard... Never reuse junk yard brake lines...
