Coil rubs track bar mount
As stated, when hitting bumps my coil rubs the track bar mount and makes a loud annoying popping noise. The jeep has a 3" lift and i believe stock trac bar. I do not know what kind of lift it is, it was already on the jeep. i even ground away some of the trac bar mount where it is hitting and im still getting the noise. Any ideas what the cause would be and how to fix it?

Here's some pics. Are both my trac bar mounts stock? I'm wondering if it has a relocation bracket installed but not enough lift to compensate for it. I measured and the actual lift is only about 2.5". I can clearly see the passenger coil going outward.

If you look closely you can see a mark where the coil is hitting the bottom right of the mount.

The new bolts and lack of rust on this mount make me question if it is an aftermarket relocation bracket?

yeah, you have an axle mount drop bracket installed. that would definitely make the axle pull to the side more with a stock track bar.
it also looks like you have a frame mount drop bracket also, but i haven't seen a stock bracket in a long time.
that would do it.
i'd just get an adjustable track bar and try that in your drop mounts.
worse case, you may have to remove the drop brackets and use an adjustable track bar.
if you wheel your jeep, or plan on going bigger, might i suggest a heavy duty superflex adjustable track bar and frame mount from say, rubicon express.
