I like my clayton 3link a lot. I got it because unlike the Krawler setup there are rebuildable johny joints on all ends instead of heims. Also the clayton kit comes with an entire new weld on crossmember that is 1/4" boxed steel, as apposed to the krawler kit which welds directly to the frame rails.

nothing wrong with link mounts welded to the rails.

if you are going longarm you should have plated framerails by then anyway.

and rockkrawler heims are legit. i have 6 years of abuse on mine without a drop of grease and they have never made noise or loosened up. they used to be rebuildable heims (at least you coult tighten them down in the case they did loosen up), not sure anymore however.

the jhonny joints clayton supplies are good too, but no need to knock on rk.

I have the RK kit and love it. Joints have been fine. And i didn't want a new cross member as im trying to build my own flat belly. You can't go wrong with either of these kits.
