Default chrysler 8.25 driveshaft

I have a 91 XJ with Dana 35 and NP231J T-case. I plan to replace the D35 with an 8.25 from a 99 XJ (unk t-case) Will my current driveshaft work or will I need something different?
Thanks in advance

Your D35 shaft is about an inch longer than the 8.25 version. If you are lifted it usually doesn't hurt anything but stock it may be a bit long.
