Default CHROME-MOLY shafts

I want to see if it would be worth it to up grade my dana 44 to chrome-moly shafts the 30 splines because I don't want to have to replace my locker for more spline count right now

You tell us.. Is it worth it for you? We need more info than that. I wouldn't want to buy a new locker and have to set the gears up again for a higher spline count.

Btw, it's chromoly.

If you have then cash then go for it. I wouldn't call it a necessity but it would be good peace of mind. I don't think it's worth upping your spline count. Stick with the 30 splines, then you can keep your others as spares.

Your 44 will keep up, but it never hurts to upgrade.

30 spline chromoly shafts in a 44 would make for a solid rear axle for 35's all day long w/o worries.i would do it .

Chrome - moly and chromoly are the same thing. Just different ways of saying it.
