custom headers, custom PS pump, MSD 6L

More details please. I've often wondered how well an AMC V8 would work, especially since the 6cyl & V8's have the same bell housing pattern.

If they weren't so damn wide the best engine I ever had in my 4x4 1 Ton Wreckers came in the Power Wagons the 318 they ran forever in the mountains in CO. for off road recovery. But the size could be an issue in an XJ with so many other good ones to choose from any more.

Nice job. It's so refreshing to see someone go through the work of an engine swap, but without using any of the GM crap that I see so often.
