if i can find a 6.0 for a decent price i will. theres a yard by me that specializes in 4.8/5.3/and 6.0 complete pullouts so ill se what theyre price on the 6.0 is. ill more than likey go 5.3 tho
funny thing is im about to buy a 02 4x4 tahoe with a 5.3 and a blown 4l60e. gonna be hard not to pull the drive train. lol. gonna slap a new tranny in it and either drive it whilst the jeeps down or flip it for a profit

I have installed frame stiffeners front to rear and have been driving this thing like it were stolen and have not seen any signs of ill effect to the unibody. Not sure why a full tube frame would be needed seems like that would be overkill. As for the fast system i went with the ez-efi because once you figure your wiring harness your ecu and tuning your real close to the $1400.00 (if not more) the fast kit cost plus it makes for a much cleaner install, it uses a more precise wide band o2, no laptop required, comes with a nice touch screen interface module, and has worked flawlessly since the start. And too much horsepower thats a good one, i guess the new cam and ported heads i got laying here are totally out of the question. I will try to take some more pics today and get them posted as soon as i can
Very nice I had no idea that FAST sold any of their units that cheap I have used 2 of them and they both were in the $4-5k+ range for my race cars and the wife's 572ci. BBC in a Fox Body Mustang she drives. They are the way to go with a race pac computer setup, so easy to tune.
I have saw another one like yours but they use a Ford 9" in it to handle the power on the street, damned if I can remember what was in the front though may have been a D44.

I was in a hurry to get the jeep back on the road since it's my sole means of transportation so I figured I would come back to that as I got time. As for the fuel system imrunning a Walbro 255 LPH pump in the stock jeep hanger and a vette filter/regulator combo and F.A.S.T. ez-EFI
nice!!
I won't hijack your thread my posting pics of my xj with a 350 :-)
watch out for that griffin radiator --- I got mine from novack, it lasted just over five years and spring a leak at the seal. Novack doesn't even sell them anymore, they've had way too many complaints.

From my experiences with xj's they seem to be the hardest vehicle on radiators known to man the radiator that Novak sells now is like 600 that's a little out of my price range what are you running now?
IT was pricey but worth it. Once those aluminum rads go, they're practically impossible to fix. I blew $300 for a rad shop to try and re apoxy the griffin, and it still blew.
The kryos don't have trans coolers in the rad, so it's a touch more efficient than the old griffins (although you do have to hook up an external trans cooler). Just keep an eye on it-- my griffin worked fine, mud crawling in 90deg humid weather , until it died :-)
sweet conversion. the only thing I would've done differently is used the trans that came with the engine with factory gm ecu and harness. you can have the harness tailored to your swap for $300-400. it retains full tuning capability of the engine and trans via software (hpt or efilive).
edit: also, I am not sure how much sarcasm was in the comment regarding the fbody's "subframe", but they are quite strong and work very well.
