A little while ago, I bought a '98 Cherokee Sport 2-door from a friend. It has the factory off road suspension, 5-speed, part-time four wheel drive and a limited slip differential. It's all stock except for a K and N air filter and, I just discovered, a Jacobs ignition module perched on the firewall.

What does this set up do for the vehicle? My internet searches haven't turned up anything helpful.

Please pardon my ignorance. This is my first Jeep.

The former owner tells me that the Jacobs ignition installation had no noticeable affect on performance.

On the other hand, somebody wants to buy the ignition from me. What would be a good asking price?
