Hey, I've looked through different threads and am having a hard time finding information that will help me out with my current situation. Back in April I ordered a RE 3.5 superflex kit with monotubes and it has been on backorder since. It is currently estimated to be back in stock 9/15, but it has consistently been moved back since I started checking on it in May. I've ordered and received 31s on wheels with 4.5 inch backspacing, an IRO double shear trackbar, a SYE, hardware, brakes lines, etc. I have a trip planned the fist week of October but to take the xj in its current stock state, I'd need a new spare tire and wheel and a new trackbar. So rather than spend $150 or so on parts that will be useless to me once my RE kit finally comes in, I was wondering what the cheapest way to fit my 31s and track bar might be. I'd be fine spending 300 or so if I could resell the parts and get a good portion of that back. So what are some good, resellable lifts out there? I know RC is currently on backorder, so the only ones I have found that are available are an eBay 3 inch spacer and shackle lift or Zone's 3 inch lift. The spacer lift is $190 with shocks, the Zone lift is $330. Or could I fit the 31s on a 2 inch spacer lift so that I don't have to replace the shocks. I have a 2000 and don't want to trim the fenders at this point.

The IRO double shear trackbar has a lift requirement of at least 3" - er, at least that's what they recommend.

What about a set of 3" coil springs from say, IRO and then an add-a-leaf or bastard pack set of leafs? That should be less than $400.

Buy for the future, Good coils, good shackles plus a adaleaf(zero rate).

Don't touch steering or track bar until you understand what needs to happen

If buying for the future, don't go add-a-leaf...get a new spring pack with the correct lift built in.

A zero rate. Most will alwawant to fudge heights around 1" or so. Likely won't hit desired rude height with full packs

Thanks for the replies.

You're right, so I guess that means no super cheap option since I will need shocks with a 3 inch. I was looking at this Zone kit, which includes coils and add-a-leaf, but I'll look at the IRO coils and an add-a-leaf or maybe an s10 bastard pack as well.

I've got the RE kit on order, but won't have it in time for the honeymoon and we were planning on doing a few very mild trails (probably nothing a stock XJ couldn't handle, but not something I want to attempt on mismatched worn highway tires). So right now I'm just looking for something that will allow me to fit the 31s that I have and hopefully let me install the trackbar that I have. Once the RE kit comes in, whatever I install now will be getting removed and sold.
