I need a cheap fender flare solution for this winter that doesn't look like complete crap. I have a 2 door XJ with cut front fenders and rolled rears. I have a $100 limit on parts for this project. Lets hear some ideas!

Make your own out of steel. I don't think there are any options under 100 on the market

I live in the rust belt so steel is not an option. Ive got enough problems keeping rust at bay. I was thinking more like junkyard flares from other vehicles that would fit my bigger openings.

Can't say I've seen anything like that on here or in my area. Maybe measure your openings and go to the yard hunting. Everyone trims different so it's hard to answer your question.

$120 to $150 on Ebay (Bushwacker Knock-Offs)

No real hardware included, probably no instructions included either but it's easy enough to figure out. Don't expect them to take a beating like Napier or Bushwhacker flares will though.

if you still have your stock flares, you can cut them down in length to remove the body line section, then just mount them up a bit higher over your cut fenders. looks pretty good and almost stock.
then if you need them to be a bit wider, use the lawn edging idea.
simple and effective.

I have seen he lawn edging done well and some not so well. I think for the price they aren't a bad choice. Not sure if I will use them but if I do replace my flares I will give them a try.
