Cause for death wobble
Try lowering your tire pressure. I had serious DW on my last xj with 35's i spent lots of money trying to resolve it and only after a friend mentioned the tire pressure did I find relief instantly. 18 to 20psi is what i run in any tire 33 or larger
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had Death Wobble. I had the steering damper (stabilizer), track bar, and pitman arm replaced. I also had the front end aligned and tires balanced. None of this got rid of the wobble. I had the lower control arms replaced, which upon inspection had cracked bushings. This did the trick! Ended up costing me a total of about $900.

You can gradually increase the max psi for your tires by 5 psi to stretch them out and that might help a little. My jeep repair genius mechanic (who dropped a v8 into an XJ and made the body 3 feet wider just because he can) said that steering stabilizers are useless and only sort of cover up issues that will need to be fixed. So you don't need a stabilizer really at all. But try what I said about the tires and also check the leaf springs to make sure they are all at equal tension and are at the tension they need to be.

Sorry forgot to update the thread. I finally fixed the issue by going with JCR 1-ton steering upgrade. My stock tie rods were really bad. I put on 33's and upgraded the steering and it drives great now. I can hit bridge gaps at any speed and no probs
