I personally have a flowmaster super 44 (got it free so no cost complaints here) I have my cat still but I have a turndown right after the muffler because I ripped the rest of the pipe off offroad and just left it off so I wouldn't have to deal with that problem again anyway i like mine loud when I get on it but it isn't too bad cruising and I'm still legal

With that being said, Ide recommend getting a high-flow spun cat.
It is also illegal to replace the catalytic converter unless a legitimate need for replacement is established and documented. So I assume that all of us talking about how we swapped out to high-flow cats have established and fully documented a legitimate need to replace them?

I'm pretty sure that race cars are not required to retain their catalytic converters. What about the highly modified trail rigs that are only used off-road? Does the board prohibit discussion of removal of cats on a rock crawler that can't legally be driven on the street anyway?

Seriously? Most of these rigs are 20+ years old. And its one thing to swap it for a better performing and still legal unit compared to running nothing.

For the record, mine was chunked and blocked. Did it myself, stock location as required. Sue me.

My friend you are confused about a lot of different things after seeing this post. You need to do some reading too get up to speed on a few of these facts.

Most Offroad parks require a proper exhaust system. Just saying.
