I live in Commie-fornia and according to the smog laws here all air intake and exhaust equipment must be stock or have the C.A.R.B. exempt sticker on it. I searched the internet for exempt snorkel kits but none of the ones i found say whether or not they are exempt. I had a cold air intake on a previous vehicle and the sticker was just in the box. Does anyone know of any snorkel kits that are exempt? I found this on amazon, any opinions or info?

 

That still uses the stock air box just picks up the air in a different location. I'd say it's fine

 

does that tap into the front of the airbox near the grill or does it come off the side?
I know there are different versions for different years

 

I'm sure you can find a shop that will smog it. Just smogged mine but with a CAI. No carb sticker no problem. Talk to the guy.
