Default c-clip eliminator kit

I purchased a ford 8.8 full sized axle out of a mid 70s f150
its 65.5inches wms to wms.

Im hoping to find an aftermarket kit to eliminate the c-clips.
i rushed into this axle before sourcing all the parts needed.. not wise but ohwell picked it up for 100$ so i can get my money back worst case scenario

i found this link
link
that shows a c-clip eliminator set for the explorer but that alot narrower at 59 3/4" so there no way those shafts will work.

anyone seen a set up for a full width?
if not i guess im sol and back on the market this time for a ford 9"

Mid 70's would be a 9" or Dana 44, no 8.8 made yet. 8.8 came out in early -mid 80's

You are correct I keep getting my info mixed up...
First 8.8 was in 83 from what I just read.

Thankyou for correcting me.

Waste of money, the weak point on an 8.8 in a Truck/Bronco is the housing and the Trac-Lok carrier. Those need to be upgraded with a truss/welded tubes and a different carrier first. After that superior makes quality shafts for the 8.8 that are 30% stronger than stock and reasonably priced.

If you are worried about externally retaining you axle shafts due to some internal failure swap to disks. The caliper will hold the shaft in the housing in an emergency. Nobody makes a c clip eliminator kit for the full size 8.8 because they aren't intended for side load. They are for drag racing.

If it was me i would ditch the 8.8 go 9in or 60 both are easy to find 9in being cheaper for parts. Also c clip elimator are required in drag racing if running any kind of fast et. Side load is not the only reason to run a c clip elimator

I would weld 9" ends on it and run bolt in axles before wasting money on c-clip elims.
