Bumper Passed, Steering failed
SA 72 year old lady decided to test my 16 year olds bumper. The bumper did well, but she cought the inside on the drivers front tire and bent the steering linkage.
So, im looking for a beefier steering upgrade to put on as a replacement. Any suggestions? I did a search, and found several sources, but I wanted to get an opinion from you guys as well.

Currie is a popular company for heavy duty replacements. Is this rig going to see off-road action very often or is it a DD? I don't have experience with Currie personally, but that may be overkill on a DD.
I was also referred to Crown Automotive for OE style replacements by a 4x4 shop. They are supposed to be well built, affordable replacement parts suited for road driving and light off roading. Again, no experience personally, just what I've heard. My steering linkage is overdue for replacement/upgrading too so I will be paying attention to this thread as well.

if your looking for an easy swap in, rustys offroad makes a pretty good one (havent had the funds for it yet)
instead of a Y link set up, its one tie rod that goes from wheel to wheel, then a drag link that goes from the pitman arm to the tie rod. ive heard good things about it, and i want to pick one up for myself, eventually. i also like that setup because it uses tie rod ends that you can pick up from any auto store, if one goes bad.
