Front wheel drive jeep
So today I was driving around and all of the sudden I hear clunking and felt it bad when I was stopped and started to go then car stopped in it's place I get out and look under car my rear drive shaft was on the ground because the u joint ends broke off so to get home had to put in four wheel drive and drive home in a front wheel drive jeep. Anyone know how to replace a u joint because I got part tonight And don't know the proper way to replace it?

you'll have to press the old ujoint out with a vise and two different size sockets, a shop press is nice thats what used and it took like 5 minutes to get the old one out, if you dont have either then your gonna be doing a lot of banging with a hammer lol

pinion yoke tab? just to be clear one of the ears that a bolt would thread into broke off? if this is what you are refuring to i would replace it with this kind. U-bolt yoke. rather then the strap type. go for 25-40$ on ebay.
