Default Bump stop question

have a quick question! i am running a three inch lift...and am planning on doing a cut and fold front and rear. i wanna run 33's with upgraded shocks and was curious what kind/size of bump stops ya'll suggest??

Here is my xj as it sits now...

a couple inches will likely be fine, but the only surefire way is to measure.

you can get larger factory style rear bumpstops from quadratec and space them from the unirail using box tubing. or build up the contact point from the axle tube

in front hockey pucks bolted to the coil bucket work well for cheap.

You can usually go with the size of lift equals the amount of bump stop. I.e. 3" lift = 3"of bump stop or 3 hockey picks.
You can also JB weld in the hockey pucks as that works very well. Just scratch up the bottom of the puck and the top of the coil bucket.

I used old 2" body lift spacers with hockey pucks on top inside my front coils. Recommend drilling and taping the holes instead of using a bolt and nut due to the difficulty involved with trying to get a nut on the underside of the rh side bolt.

When people say hockey pucks....do they mean legitimate hockey pucks?? Haha might be a stupid question I'm just curious.
