My rig is a 98 xj 160k. Rear leafs are not sagging. I bought some 32s, did some fender trimming and I have 2" spacers and autozone shackles going on very soon. Rig is pretty much only a DD, looking for decent ride quality. I've heard that the red jk rubicon shocks are pretty awesome but I am having trouble finding an available set. Besides jk rubicon shocks what are my other shock options that offer a decent ride and don't break the bank. Looking on ebay I see pro comp, rough country, 4 zone, and 4 zone nitro. I'd like to pay around $100, $150 would be the max. What do you guys think? Should I wait for some jk rubicon shocks or bite the bullet on some ebay ones and which ones do you recommend?

Awesome read, thanks, I already have the spacers and shackles but the monroe struts sound pretty sweet on a budget.

 

look for JK shocks at jeepforum.com in the classifieds. they almost always have some!
