Default Bring back the high altitude CPS!

Over the past month or so I've been working with a manufacturer to bring back the high altitude CPS and make it reliable at the same time. These units will be available for 97 to 01 cherokees at first and will add appx 6 degrees of base timing advance. They are made right here in the USA!

The Mopar CPS is now discontinued and all you can find is new old stock so it is time to look forward as we keep our Heeps on the road.

What would this do in a Jeep at sea level?

It would advance the timing. The stock ignition map is very reserved. I ran my 95 at sea level and I enjoyed it but I would recommend mid grade fuel (89 octane at sea level)

Sounds like it'd be worth a try. Thanks.

6 degrees is a bunch. If you are running mid-grade I suspect the ECM is retarding as much as it can.

This reminds me of when I started college in Denver.
I get out there with my '69 Grand Prix and she was running like crap.
I was at a loss. I was more clueless then about cars then I am now.
If that is even possible.
Then I found out a little carburetor adjustment and good to go.

For years I ran mine on 87 without issues even towing a small trailer up some good grades in the summer. To provide a margin of safety mid grade is recommended.

You believe 93 should be used and that even with 89 the ecm is retarding timing to avoid knock?
