Default Will the sway bar be off a little bit?

I'm in the process of putting on sway bar disconnects and I couldn't get the stock bolt off the bracket on the axle thanks to rusted splines. I ended up cutting both ends off and drilling new holes for it. My problem is when I drilled the passengers side out the drill bit walked a bit and now my hole is about 1/16 to 1/8" back towards the spring perch/steering stabilizer mount. Is that going to be a problem mounting up the sway bar and adjustable disconnects? This project has been a thorn in my side and I don't need anymore headaches....

Just a guess but I couldn't see it being a problem. There's that much movement in the bushings.

That's good to hear. Do you think both will adjust the same or is the passengers side going to be a bit longer?

If it would be longer it couldn't be by very much at all. Your not dealing with fixed positions when you take into account the flexibility of the bushings.

You can't see much until I pull off the wheels again but here is a few.

As a comparison I took one of the drivers side too. The link will just clear the steering stabilizer when you take it on and it's that close.

That's going to wear the bushing as you drive it and possibly bend that disconnect pin. Easy enough to just straighten out the hole. It won't matter if it's oval as long as the nut it torqued down. I snapped off the rear shock bottom stud and had to do the same thing. Cut off the stud, drilled it out and put a bolt in.

Never mind, the rest of your message finally came through. I gotta ask, how did you break the shock stud?

Next weekend when I start work on it again I'll pull off the link stud and ream it out towards the front.

No need to. It won't move.

No, it's not connected at the top. I'm still in the process of installing the lift kit. I got the front and back in, new front brake lines in (still don't know what I'm going to do with the excess line), trac bar went in yesterday, and I still have to do the rear brake line, sway bar, and new tie rod stuff.
