Default Breaking sway bar end links

Hey all,

I recently did an upcountry clone lift and replaced the end links because i sheared off the old ones while taking everything apart. I used the crown hd replacements but i snapped the first set. I thought i tightened them too much. I replaced those and didn't tighten them down as much and just snapped a new one yesterday after about 2 months. I was under the impression that with lifts under 3 inches stock length ones are ok.
All the other ones i see are for 3+ inches of lift.

I understand that all jeeps are different so I'm trying to see if it's something I'm doing or do i just need longer ones.

Thanks

The end links need to be approx. vertical and the arms of the sway bar needs to be approx. horizontal...when you lift it screws with this geometry...you can either extend the sway bar end links or drop the frame mount points for the sway bar by 3 inches. If you keep all stock the bar is too high forces the links to rotate fairly far away from the vertical causing side loads on the end link rod. I used a 3x2 box beam to drop the bar mount points will get pictures later...you can use 2.....2x4 in a pinch and it will work...you can then use stock length end links with no issues

Agree with the above, but maybe you should do disconnects for off road?
